According to data collected by NASA scientists from international satellites, the cavity under the Thwaites Glacier in West Antarctica that formed and caused the glacier to retreat at a pace of over six hundred and fifty feet per year.  If the glacier collapses, than we as a society will experience a two foot increase in sea level rises (which could happen in fifty to one hundred years (read: within the lifetime of most students at Colleyville Heritage High School)).
